Learn about how individuals, businesses, institutions, and government leaders are working together to grow a regenerative local food system in Northeast Ohio. From growing gardens on top of blacktop to developing new and creative strategies for connecting farmers with urban neighborhoods, there is a lot of innovation happening in Northeast Ohio around local foods. The NAC multi-media center is dedicated to “plugging you in” to this movement and fostering the many resources of digital technology and the web to keep us connected. This site is the place to go if you want to see what creative work people are doing around local foods in the region. Feel free to contribute work of your own our learn from what others are doing. This site is totally interactive, whether you are looking to teach or finding ways to learn.
The NAC is currently partnering with LESS Productions to produce Uprooted: Reconnecting People and Food, a documentary film that explores what happens when we connect what we eat and where we live. An archive of video footage of the early days of the George Jones Farm, City Fresh, interviews with local farmers, and experts. This archival footage was used to produce the Real Low Calorie Diet with LESS Productions in 2006.
